Lisa M. Carr, BCBA
Founder | Chief Executive Officer | Clinical Director
Lisa M. Carr is the clinical director/CEO and is a licensed, board-certified behavior analyst in both New Jersey and Arizona, with more than 25 years of experience in the fields of ABA, behavior, and special education.
Lisa obtained her BCBA certification from Florida Institute of Technology, holds an M.A. in Special Education from New Jersey City University, a TOH certification in New Jersey, and a B.A. from Seton Hall University.
Her areas of specialty include ASD, ADD/ADHD, OCD, social and life skills training, as well as a variety of parenting support services.
Kayla Edmonson
New Jersey Regional Supervisor
Kayla Edmonson is the Regional Clinical Supervisor for New Jersey at ABA S.T.E.P.S. Behavioral Health Specialists, where she provides clinical leadership, supervision, and mentorship to clinicians while ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based ABA services.
With more than 15 years of experience in behavioral health and over seven years in applied behavior analysis, Kayla has extensive experience in behavior assessment, treatment planning, clinical supervision, and staff development. She earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees in clinical psychology from Lynn University and completed a postgraduate certificate in applied behavior analysis through The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, where she is currently pursuing her doctorate in applied behavior analysis.
Kayla is committed to providing compassionate, individualized care while supporting the professional growth of her team. Her passion for clinical excellence, ethical practice, and evidence-based intervention helps empower both clinicians and families to achieve meaningful, lasting outcomes.
Leslie Smith
Southwest Regional Supervisor
Leslie Smith is the Southwest Regional Supervisor for Arizona and Texas at ABA STEPS, where she oversees operational excellence and supports the delivery of ABA services to children and families.
She earned her degree in Psychology from California State University Long Beach and brings more than 20 years of experience working in the field of Autism Spectrum Disorder. Throughout her career, Leslie has combined her passion for supporting families with expertise in operations, program development, and organizational leadership.
Leslie is dedicated to fostering strong teams, refining service delivery, and finding solutions for families navigating this journey.
